By Car
The recommended raceday route to the racecourse from all directions is via the A64 to the south of the racecourse. Please note, on racedays not all of the usual routes to the racecourse are accessible. Please follow the yellow directional signs, and be aware that satellite navigation systems will not contain the traffic plan routes.
By Train
ast and frequent trains run from London Kings Cross, taking as little as 1 hour 52 minutes. Direct trains running from Edinburgh, Manchester and Birmingham. York Station is a taxi, regular shuttle bus or a brisk walk to the racecourse.
By Bus
The 197 Shuttle Bus service links York Railway Station to the Racecourse, From York Station The shuttle buses operate from Stand RJ opposite the Railway Station entrance between 11am and 1.00pm The coach and minibus drop off and collection area will be within the Coach ‘C’ park, which is off Bishopthorpe Road to the south of the Terry’s Chocolate factory building.
